The Abruzzo is a weaving technique that allows you to perform a "embroidery needle while working on the frame.
There are no written records about the origins of this ancient technique, have been passed different versions, one of these legends were told that the slaves in the seventeenth century and Turkish Cypriot, bought in the markets for Puglia, Abruzzo mountain men, who went there wintering flocks, to teach this and other weaving techniques to the local girls.
Our group is particularly fond of this technique, resulting in research on the origins and designs. The artifacts of the two pictures were made by Mrs. Rosetta Carpineto, common at the foot of Gran Sasso, his principal performer (runs the parade from the age 10 years).
